Talking about 'crush videos' in Animal Law was a bit more disturbing. Fortunately, there was no viewing involved.

Two out of three of my professors said "fuck" today in class. Actually, one said "motherfucker" and the other said "fuck". To be fair, the first was in the context of the line between protected speech, 'fighting words', and obscenity, so relevant. Somehow, I am in my last academic quarter of law school. I will not done until May; I have another co-op left. I've given myself a lot of work, but 1)I have no classes on Fridays 2)My professors are working with me to spread due dates out and help me keep on top of it all and 3) I'm thrilled that I got into three seminars I really wanted to take ( Read more... )

Exams = done. Now for a short break, and then I'm working of the federal government Office of Civil Rights for 11 weeks. Also, the feds are paying me. I think the co-op is gonna :rock:.

I got a work-study award from the school for my co-op! I'm gonna get paid for my work next quarter, for doing legal work that *needs* to be done. It's a good feeling ( Read more... )

Almost on lark, but with the good intentions, I ran for two positions on the law school's student government. I appear to have won them both. Although, I only had one opponent for each position, so this is not a victory against overwhelming odds or anything.

I feel a little odd about this turn of events.

Today we (13 other people and I) turned in a 217 page report, which we have been working on furiously for the last three months. It will be reviewed by the faculty to ensure that it's up to professional levels, but our faculty advisor assured us that the content should pass with flying colors.
